Measure what your material received.

On the bench, through the specimen, and at the tooth.

MARC Light Collector

A laboratory instrument that characterises a curing light: its spectrum, its irradiance over time and its radiant exposure. A second sensor port beneath the specimen measures the energy that reaches the bottom of your material. The software applies no averaging or smoothing unless you choose it, and your settings are recorded with every run.

MARC Patient Simulator

A patient simulator with a sensor in the tooth. It measures the irradiance and the energy a restoration receives during a cure, on every attempt.

For dental schools

The simulator that teaches.

Teaching light curing takes a professor’s time at the station. MARC Academy, in development, puts the teaching around the simulator: eight self-paced chapters that end at a measured attempt, and Dr. Sol, an AI coach, for questions along the way. Students work through it on their own, and their progress is shared with the instructor.

In a published study, students taught on the MARC Patient Simulator delivered significantly more energy to a simulated restoration, and kept the skill for at least five months. Price, Strassler, Price, Seth & Lee, Journal of the American Dental Association, 2014.
