Products / CheckMARC
CheckMARC is our expert-led, on-site evaluation. A CheckMARC partner visits your clinic, measures every light at the tip and at clinical depth, and our team returns a customized report on every light, every operator, and every protocol gap we find. Every test also becomes structured field data: the real-world evidence behind our work with manufacturer partners.

How it works
You request it; we connect you with a partner who brings the lab to your operatory. Your team keeps treating patients, and our experts do the analysis.

A CheckMARC partner comes to you, tags each light with an ID sticker, and measures it at the tip and at 6 mm, working around your clinic's day.
Our light-curing experts review the data and return a customized report with operator-level findings and protocol recommendations.
What you get back
For each curing light: its output at the tip and at 6 mm, variance against the manufacturer's stated spec, a heat-exposure check, and the exact minimum cure time for every material that clinic stocks.

What it measures
A curing light can read fine at the tip and still fail a deep posterior box. CheckMARC measures what actually reaches the restoration, and turns it into a cure time you can trust.
From the measured irradiance, CheckMARC computes a corrected cure time for each material you use, scaled to your light's real output and aware of the material's photoinitiator chemistry. Undercured composites don't fail in the chair; they fail months later as recurrent decay, marginal breakdown, or a tooth that "started bothering me after the filling."
Two distances on every test: direct output and the energy that survives to 6 mm of clinical depth. Tip-only radiometers miss the drop-off entirely.
A radiometer and a spectrometer run together, capturing output by wavelength, not a single number, so blue-only and blue-violet (polywave) lights are read correctly.
Irradiance delivery over time, so a light that spikes then sags is caught where a single peak reading would pass it.
The Curing Advisor returns OK, Warning, or Do Not Use, flagging any light more than 20% off its stated output, and suppressing cure times on anything dangerous.
The drop-off, drawn: output at the tip vs. what survives to 6 mm of clinical depth.
From the operatory to a dashboard
A clinic sees its whole fleet at a glance: each light's measured output against its stated spec, the drop-off from the tip to 6 mm, and a Pulse Score that says, in one number, whether the curing is healthy.
Lights more than 20% off spec are flagged. Anything reading below a stocked material's required energy is flagged. Nothing depends on remembering to check.

CheckMARC for manufacturer partners
Every CheckMARC test is a timestamped, geolocated measurement of a real curing light, tagged to its exact make, model, mode, and tip, and to the materials that clinic actually stocks. Across thousands of clinics, that becomes a picture of how your products perform in the field that no lab study can produce: evidence your R&D and customer teams have never had access to.
Every dot is an independent measurement of a light that cured your material.
At this scale it becomes the one thing a lab can't give you: the measured distribution of how your materials perform in the real world, and a reason for your reps to arrive with data, not a spec sheet.
62,000+ clinics measured · 75+ countries
How far field units drift from your stated output, how spectral output shifts as lights age, and which of your materials are being cured at what energy.
We encode your material's required energy and photoinitiator class, then test whether real lights clear it, at the tip and at 6 mm clinical depth.
Bring measurement and curing training to your key accounts. With CheckMARC in the operatory and the MARC Patient Simulator at your events, you're the partner who improves outcomes in the chair, building loyalty while the data accrues to you.
Why it's a service, not a product
The same radiometer-and-spectrometer measurement, sampling protocol, and analysis we use in peer-reviewed research, not a simplified field shortcut.
Every report is reviewed and signed by a light-curing specialist. You get clinical interpretation, not raw irradiance values.
Findings come with protocol recommendations you can implement next week, not a stack of charts.
A CheckMARC evaluation runs alongside a normal clinic day. You get a written, expert-reviewed report, and a list of protocol changes you can ship next week. Manufacturer partner? We'll scope a field-data or co-marketing program.
