Terms of service are being drafted ahead of launch.
Bluelight is publishing real, counsel-reviewed terms of service for the first time alongside the relaunch. The draft covers the CheckUp subscription, the CheckMARC service engagement, and the hardware warranty for MARC-LC and MARC-PS.

What the new terms will cover.
Coverage breaks down by product motion: a SaaS subscription section for the CheckUp app (monthly billing, cancellation, renewal, refunds), a service-engagement section for CheckMARC (scope, deliverables, IP on the report), and a hardware-warranty section for the physical instruments (CheckUp, MARC-LC, MARC-PS).
Standard provisions, acceptable use, IP ownership, indemnity, limitation of liability, and choice of law (Nova Scotia, Canada), round out the document. Specific carve-outs cover academic and research customers running MARC-LC under institutional agreements.
